The Annual Convention
Each year, thousands of people from across the globe attend the National Down Syndrome Congress Annual Convention. For most, it’s to hear the latest information from world-renowned experts. For others, it’s a great vacation. But, for nearly all, there’s the one-of-a-kind NDSC family reunion feeling that permeates the convention weekend.
July 11-13, 2014, the 42nd Annual NDSC Convention will be held in Indianapolis, IN. Come journey with us to the burgeoning Midwest and explore a friendly, inviting and vibrant city that has it all.

Call for Speakers
2014 Workshop Proposals
Have you heard a great speaker that you think might consider presenting at our National Convention? The NDSC is accepting proposals for knowledgeable, family-friendly speakers to present 1-1/2 hour workshops on topics related to Down syndrome. Presentations in Spanish are welcome. Proposals may range the lifespan of Down syndrome and address topics like: Health and medical concerns, including therapies; Education, including pre-school, transition, & post-secondary; Employment, Living options, Friendships and social relationships; Advocacy and systems change, including legislation; Speech & Communication; Aging; Positive behavior support; And much more.
Be creative! Proposals should be interactive, provide “How To” strategies and evidence-based research as often as possible. If you are interested in submitting a workshop proposal, or know someone who would be great Click here for the on-line proposal form.

NDSC Convention from your Couch
To share the experience of “the world’s largest family reunion” anywhere, and learn the latest developments and advancements from the Down syndrome community’s leading voices NDSC recorded 55 workshops at the 2013 convention. Workshops were audio recorded with sync to the presenter’s power point if used. Access to the 2013 conference recordings is $45 for NDSC members and $75 for non-NDSC members.
